Madiun Agro Tourism

This tourism object is located in the middle of the teak seed-bed forest or other the protected tree. It states about 17 km from Madiun city to the east side. Presicelly, in Wungu village, Wungu district, the area widely is about 5 ha. This tourism area is very calm and fresh because its green trees and its clean air. It is suitable for family recreation with its natural scenery.
At the school holiday this place is very busy visited by adolescents or students.
The facilities that available in this tourism area are play ground, encampment.

Nasi Pecel

Pecel rice is one of the unique food culture East Java.vegetable when served with Present.a spices made from beans, brown sugar, lime leaves, chili and sauce taste.

The classic Javanese spicy peanut sauce.

Make it up in large batches because it will stay fresh in or out of the refrigerator for weeks. Then mix a few tablespoons with warm water whenever you want some gado-gado or nasi pecel.

1½ cup raw peanuts
10 small red chilies
2 large red chilies
2 tsp asem tua [tamarind]
6 lime leaves
2 cloves garlic
2 thumb-sized pieces of kencur [lesser galangale]
2 tsp salt
about ¼ cup gula jawa [palm sugar]
1. Fry peanuts in oil for about 3
minutes
2. Crush peanuts to a fine powery
paste
3. Remove peanut mixture to a
separate container
4. Crush remaining ingredients on tray
5. Add peanuts and mix well.

Salak Wedi taste is beloved, delicious and fresh. Those trees can be met in every lawn of resident house in Wedi village and its surroundings. The difference of Salak Wedi compared with other Salak, such as; Salak Pondoh, is its water content that make Salak Wedi fresher. This Salacca Zalacca fruit called Salak Wedi, because the skin looks like sand and the fruit is smaller then the other Salak. Salak Wedi comes from Javanese language, means Salacca Zalacca fruit looks like sand (Wedi = Sand, Javanese language).

The Gate To The Eternal Flame

Kayangan Api

The name of “Kayangan Api” is a fire source that never die, located in the forest in Sendangharjo village, Ngasem district, a village that has about 42,29% jungle area of the village width. According to a story, Kayangan Api is a place of Mbah Kriyo Kusumo or Mpu Supa took a rest, he also known as Mbah Pandhe from Mojopahit. In the west side of Kayangan Api, there is a puddle of mud that contain of sulfur, and according to belief, at that time still made farm tools and heirloom such as; keris, spear, cundrik, etc. Bojonegoro people are still believe that this fire source is sacred and according to the story, this fire had take if there is an important ceremony that had done in the past, such as; Jumenengan Ngarsodalem Hamengku Buwono X and took the fire through a requirement that is traditional party / Wilujengan and Tayuban with Javanese Song (Gending) of eling-eling, wani-wani and gunung, which is Mbah Kriyo Kusumo’s favorite song.
That’s why when the music has played and danced, every body is not allowed to accompany the ‘Waranggono’. From those society story, then Kayangan Api that located about 25 km of Bojonegoro city, placed as the nature tourism object and placed to held an important that is the anniversary of Bojonegoro regency ceremony, together purify (Ruwatan Massal), and “Wisuda Waranggono” (Waranggono graduated). This tourism object has equipped with kinds of facilities such as; the hall, kiosks, the bridge, etc.

This location is very suitable for outbound event, because this is tourism area. At certain time, especially on Friday Pahing (Jum’at Pahing = one of Javanese days) there are many people come here to make a wish in order to get success, get married partner, get high status and even also to get the heirloom. The traditional ceremony that has done by the people is Nyadranan (Bersih Desa / the anniversary of a village) as thank you expression to the God.

The development of Kayangan Api tourism is aimed to the development of transportation, telecommunication, and accommodation. The visit to Kayangan Api can continue to the nature tourism of Watu Jago Bojonegoro and to Ngawi regency tourism objects.

The Traditional Ledug Suro Ceremony

So many ways are being used by the local government to celebrate the new year of Hijriah. At Jogjakarta there is Sekaten, at Solo (Mid Java) there is Grebeg Syuro because it coincidently come with the change of Java’s year which starting from Suro. Any other places like Sukabumi (West Java) is also celebrate this Islamic new year by doing Larung. Different with other places, in Magetan East Java, in order to attract the visitors to come, they make “Ledhug”. Lesung Suro and Bedug Muharam (Ledhug) is drum on continually and it is been combined by the sound of gong and many more instruments then make a uniqueness traditional music.

Before the process of Ledhug is begin, there is a “Prosesi Andum Berkah Bolu Rahayu”, which is the most attractive one. Thousand of societies are gathering in front of town square, struggling to take the Bolu or the bread. Before it goes on procession to go to town square, the bread is on ritual offering, because it believe that it has grace for those who eat it. Moreover, there is Jarak lawu traditional dancing which brought by the elementary students and also Magetan traditional transportation called Delman is being ride in the middle of the crowd. When the sound of Gamelan, traditional music, is presented, the Major of Magetan and other local government is taking the Bolu and welcome flower by Dyah-Bagus magetan (it is like Miss Magetan). The Bolu bread is been modified as a mortar (Lesung), Bedhug and Gong then it is spread out to the people.

Lesung suro is having purpose to celebrate the year of Saka, which starting on 1st Suro. As mention, Lesung or Mortar is a tool for pounding the rise and the object to communicate with the ancestors. Bedhug Muharram is having purpose to celebrate the new year of Hijriyah, which starting on 1st Muharram. Anyway, Bedhug for Moslem is a media for calling the people to pray to God, and Gong is Magetan industrial product, that already becomes an Exported product. Judang is a traditional equipment to carry the ‘Uborampe’from Magetan society, which want to celebrate the marriage. The main purpose for those celebration is about to dig, to cultivate and to promote magetan traditional and industrial field, in order to develop Magetan as a Tourism Object and Tourism Destination Object.
