Madakaripura waterfall is located on Sapih village, Lombang district, Probolinggo. The object itself is near from Bromo Mt area. The Royal Cemetery Of Asta Tinggi

Asta Tinggi is a Royal Cemetery located in Kebunagung village on the northwest side of Sumenep city, about two and half kilometers away. Asta Tinggi has two main buildings. The first is on the west side where one can find an old pendopo and three grave dooms. It is a simple pendopo used for holding a meeting in the time ago. While the dooms is placed for grave. The first doom located on the west and content of Prince Pulang Jiwo grave. The second doom located on the north, is a grave of Prince Jimat and the last that listed on the east content the grave of Bindoro Saod and the queen Raden Ayu Tirtonegoro. This old building was built in 1750 in the reign of Bindoro Saod whose titled as Raden Tumenggung Tirtonegoro.



The second building placed on the north side is greater. The entrance is a big and beautiful gate. About 2 meters after it, there is an inscription written in Arabic letter. This building has one great and interesting doom content of the grave of Arya Noto Kusumo I and his descendants. It has Islamic, China and Europe style. It was built in the year of 1763 by Aryo Noto Kusumo I.

Sumenep Royal Palace (Keraton) is listed in front of Museum. This palace was built in 1762 in the reign of Tumengung Arya Nata Kusumo I. It consists of Gate, Pendopo, Palace itself, old Palace and Sare Park. The Gate is located in the left side of the palace. It is a great gate with Europe style. It is popular called Labang Mesem (Smiling Gate), an entrance way to the palace complex.



Pendopo ( a meeting hall ) is a hall placed in the center of palace complex used for holding a meeting. It is a simple but unique building completed with beautiful style. The building that related pendopo to the palace called Mandiyoso. It is a building about 25 meters long from the palace to the Pendopo.

Sumenep Palace consist of two floors. The first floor has four rooms. Two of them on the right side and the others on the left. The second floor is a a place for keeping the princesses when they would come to a marriage.



On the right side of the palace there is also an old building named Kantor Koneng. In the last time, it was a palace of Bindoro Saod before he handed to his successor. Now on, it is functioned to keep many kinds of old weapons used in long ago, old traditional ceremony tools, old bracelets and rings of people in the long time and the others. On the back of Kantor Koneng there is a building functioned as museum to. It is used for keep the remnants of Sumenep Royal Palace, the uniform of king, some old chairs and beds, and the new one is a skeleton of hawk found on the Kalianget shore in 1977.

On the left side of Pendopo is Sare Park. It is a park with a small swimming pool of which the water come out from base. In the last time, it was used specially for the princesses.

Sunan Drajat is one of the charismatic of an Islam spreaders in Java who is called Wali Songo. He was very intelligent man and people called him Raden Qosim. The name of “Kayangan Api” is a fire source that never die, located in the forest in Sendangharjo village, Ngasem district, a village that has about 42,29% jungle area of the village width.



According to a story, Kayangan Api is a place of Mbah Kriyo Kusumo or Mpu Supa took a rest, he also known as Mbah Pandhe from Mojopahit. That’s why when the music has played and danced, every body is not allowed to accompany the ‘Waranggono’.

This church is located in Puhsarang village, Semen district of Kediri, that’s why it is called Puhsarang Church. The location is 10 km in western Kediri City. This old church had built by Ir. Heroes Monument is built in "overturn nail" form, seen have monumental philosophic value. This Heroes Monument have of 40,45 meters height or 45 yards, with diameter under 3,10 meters and diameter to 1,30 meters. At underside of the monument is decorated with ‘"Trisula" engraving pictorial, ‘"Cakra", ‘"Stamba" and ‘"Padma" as fire struggle symbol.

Today, Mount kelud is very phenomenal with its new dome that exists from its lake. To reach Mount kelud, the visitors can use motorcycle and the direction come from Kediri to Wates continued to Margomulyo – Bambingan till Jurang Gelap or Mount Pedot. From Jurang Gelap till the new dome of Mount kelud is about 2 km and you can go on foot.



Mount kelud has change, it had green crater before explode, but today the beautiful crater is gone and turn up new crater that different from the previous.



The increase of Mount kelud activities from the beginning step to the next step is show phenomenal activities that never happen before. The water temperature in 1990 exploded is about 400 Celsius, and in this activity, the water temperature is increase till 77,50 Celsius, makes thermometer broken caused of high warming. The earthquake is also has increase level, both volcanic and tectonic earthquake. The earthquake is higher compare with exploded in 1990. The white and black smokes that come out from the crater is not happen in 1990.



The climax activity of Mount kelud is to turn up a dome from the lake crater in November 5, 2007 with diameter 100 meters and 20 meters height from crater water. Today, the Lava Dome still growing slowly till 200 meters height and widened to southwest side of the lake crater wide.

The first white and black smoke are detected in November 4, 2007. At that time is 200 meters height and today the wind has blow them to south side. The white smoke is come out from the dome and blow to the air till 1.000 meters height.



If this is really the end of Mount kelud and the status is normal, with Mount kelud condition at the present, then Mount kelud has a new face. With its Dome that comes from the crater, Mount kelud is more beautiful than before, add with the other phenomenal that never happen before.

Mount kelud changes with its new Dome are very interesting for visitors. The visitors can see and enjoy its new dome if the condition is really safe to be visited. The Dome is seems to be Mount kelud’s son. There is no crater-lake or green water in Mount kelud, but the new kelud presents its new dome. Fantastic and curious nature panorama.

Bromo Hike

They had not child for some years, then they decided to had a meditation. They orayed to God in order that he granted their wish.

One day there is a mysterious voice that said: that one day when Sang Hyang Widhi (God) wanted to give them children, one of them had to sacrifice to Bromo Crater (Bromo Mountain).

Many days later, Rara Anteng birth her first son named Tumenggung Klewung, then followed by other children and they had 25 children. Firstly, they didn’t want to sacrifice one of their children, but they had a sign from Bromo that they must to keep the promise. Finally, their last son named Raden Kusuma had take by Bromo crater as a requirement for Dewata Sang Hyang Agung (God). Next, the misterious voice of Raden Kusuma gave an order to provide half of the harvest to be sent to Raden Kusuma in Bromo Crater every Full Moon at 14th, Kasada month.

Because of that, every full moon at 14th in Kasada Month, people sent Raden Kusuma many kinds of harvest in Bromo mountain. That ceremony, which called “Yadnya Kasada” becomes a tradition (custom) that held up to know.

This kind of Indonesian Batik is a masterpiece of cultural creation which the existence still accepted by society until now. There’s many value of art and cultural content that represented by the Batik, so that this kind of batik have its own special characteristic.



Tuban, as one of the town which located in the east of Java Island, has an unique culture. It’s called unique, because in this town there are 3 of culture that influenced the society. That 3 of culture influencing one to another, and they are still exist and develop. That 3 of culture are Majapahit Kingdom, Islam and Chinese. Culture of Majapahit Kingdom influenced Tuban, because region of Tuban was included in power of Majapahit, when this Kingdom was in command. Then, Islam culture, developed by Sunan Bonang, a religious leader that propagating Islam around Tuban through his art creations. While Chinese culture came to Tuban, because in Majapahit Kingdoms’ era , Tuban was one of the biggest harbor. And from this harbor Kubilai Khan came into Majapahit, also as well as running away from empire of Majapahit. And until nowadays, the generations of Kubilai Khan’s solders living in Tuban.



Hence, when we perceives motif of Batik Gedog, we can find that 3 of cultures influences the every details. Such as the bird picture that being a motif of Batik Gedog, is bird called “ Hong”, which is a bird from China, and never be found in Tuban. Then, flower motifs, we can found in common batik’s motif along of Java Island. The last, culture of Islam represented by the religious name of Batik Gedog’s motifs such as Kijing Miring, etc.



Batik Gedog has so many kinds of motif and design , such as Ganggeng,Kembang Randu, Kembang Waluh, Cuken, Melati Selangsang, Satriyan, Kijing Miring, Likasan Kothong, Guntingan, Panjiori, Kenongo Uleren, Panji Krentil, Panji Serong, and Panji Konang. The last 3 of motifs, in former was only wears by the prince. Then Panji Krentil that has indigo color, believes have a power to healing some diseases.

On 11 Mays 1923, meeting of members in Simpang Restaurant decided to build a Zoo Organization, which is new, and referred by WA. Hompes to remain in the zoo. Van Genrep successfully persuade the Parliament of Surabaya City to give attention to KBS, with SK DPR on 3 Julies 1927 bought land, which has 32000 m3 width contribution from Train Station (OJS). In 1939 hitherto KBS wide increase become 15 hectares and in 1940 it had finished the garden of 85000-m2 width. KBS Philosophy: Multifarious is animal which life dispersion in the earth is the one supreme God award and benefit to man and balance of nature as nature of The Most Generous character and The Most Enamored from The one supreme God to all his creation.



From year to year, KBS developments have changed its function. Surabaya Zoo, which is former just for recreation place, have been developed his function to become support facilities for protection and conservation, education and research. Animals becom KBS collection from year to year number and its types is always increase from outside and also in country.

Inside The Sub Marine Monument

Monkasel



As you continue on your journey, visit the Monkasel, the original KRI Pasopati 410 submarine next to the Surabaya Plaza shopping center. It is 76.6 meters long and 6.3 meters wide. It was moved from Ujung to this location on July 1st, 1995, after the museum was officially opened by Arief Kushariadi, the Naval Commander of the Republic of Indonesia on June 27, 1998. KRI. Pasopati with 410 side number belongs to SS type whiskey class built in Vladivostok Russia in 1952.



It has been with Indonesia Navy since 29 January 1962 and carried out dutief to destroy enemy line, to be surveillance and acts as silent raids. KRI. Pasopati bought ctivelly for independence and national supremacy in the past. It was the front line during Trikora Operation, gave psicological presure so that west Irian could be gain back and other important operation. The following month, on July 5, 1998, it was opened to the public as a marine tourist destination.



Boats and a diorama also complete the monument, which also functions as a museum. The visitors who want to travel by boat along the Kalimas River to view the monument can launch from "Prestasi Park" behind the Grahadi Governor Mansion. Monkasel is equipped with a multimedia building which presents a program in recognition of the Indonesian Navy.
